    Canadians booking flights on Expedia, you can expect poor customer service, no follow up to resolve issues, and problems booking on their web site, we had multiple charges against our visa and contacted a customer service agent, talked for an hour last night, today i called and was hung up on, called back and was on hold for 20min and they would not confirm that the over charges would be acknowledged 1,700 cdn dollars, our scota bank visa told us to call them back in three days if the charges are not reversed, the call centre is in the milddle east fyi, this is expedia, Brian Calgary,...   • Expedia .ca -Better off booking directly with Airline.



    I used Expedia for numerous flights and hotels over the past two years. I had to cancel a round trip flight and as I was notified when booking with Expedia, it was non-refundable. ALS itinerary charges were $200.00 and had to pay for all checked baggage. I am an Elite customer, but this status gives you no more membership privileges than non Elite customers. Out of curiosity, I went to the United Airlines website and tentatively booked the same rond trip flight.the cost was the same as Expedia- less the $4.00 service charge.   • Secret Hotel Discounts



    I was disappointed with the apparent discount offering. Although it claims to help you save up to 40% on hotels I ended up paying more than even the regular rates. They can't tell you which hotel you're booking with but this is only to deceive you until after you've booked and can't cancel. Only then can you see which hotel you've booked and see how much you overpaid for the hotel. I just feel burned to have seen the actual prices of the rooms after the fact.   • Didn't honour promise



    Beware carefully worded promises - Expedia promises one thing, hotel provides another. When you check with hotel - they tell you that this is a common problem with bookings from Expedia. Expedia rep - practically laughed at me. So despite paying more through Expedia because it included features, I got less. Booking direct with the hotel would have been much cheaper. Rep put on hold for nearly an hour while he consulted his supervisor, wouldn't give his name - The supervisor eventually told me it was Moe.   • Expedia took for money and won't give it back



    I paid for and booked a hotel for a week through expedia.ca. The next day I was e-mailed from hotels.com saying that even though I paid for the week that the hotel was over booked they couldn't honor my reservation for the entire week. So, I went and stayed at my expedia reservation for 2 days and then check out because they were over booked. When I got back I phoned expedia looking for a refund. They said I couldn't get a refund because I didn't call them. Even though it is not my fault, expedia is keeping my money. Is there anything I can do? More...
